This phone is an amazing piece of electronics and would get a five-star rating if it didn’t have a few quirks.
Pros
*can support additional memory up to (and maybe beyond) a 16GB micro sd card
*with additional memory, this can make a great substitute for an mp3 player
*takes ok pictures for a cell phone
*can listen to music without headphones
*takes a standard mini headphone jack so you can use your regular noise-canceling headphones
*quad-band so it can be used literally anywhere in the world just by inserting a local SIM card
*good battery life
*excellent sound clarity, even on speaker phone
Cons (the first two are the biggest in my opinion)
*makes a slight chirping noise when the ‘buttons’ are pressed
*hard to get rid of the notification ‘ding’ after every call or text
*lack of a cover makes it easy to butt-dial if you forget to flip the switch to turn off the keys
*accessories are hard to find (custom cases, etc)
*not 3G capable (not an issue for me but might be for you)
*can be slow to load playlists if you have a lot of music on the phone

This cell phone looks great. The display is very bright and colorful. The 2Gb of memory is good enough if you enjoy music and the 2mega pixel camera is ok. I would give 5 stars to this phone if wasn’t because of one major problem: It’s incredible slow. It takes so much time to execute many single tasks like searching your phone list for example. Even navigate the menu can be painful cause sometimes it takes a while to change from one option to another (I usually click lots of time and it suddenly goes beyond the point I wanted.) Seriously, if you don’t have patience don’t buy this phone. I have, many times, wanted to just throw this phone at the wall. Anyway, like I said, if you don’t mind, it’s a good phone.

With my 4Gb sd micro card, I have plenty of music and videos to watch on my commute to work. Phone has no issues with it, glad I brought it unbranded. this one replaced phone I damaged from AT&T. Everything works great, no issues.

Pros:
- Excellent build quality, much better than Nokia’s and Sony Ericsson’s plastic toys.
- Really good voice transmission, I’m able to talk in noisy environments, and the phone filters the interference.
- Excellent MP3 quality, much better than previosuly used Nokia 5310 and Sony Ericsson W890.
- Standard slots and connections: MicroSD card, micro USB connection, 3.5 headphone jack.
Cons:
- The menus are not great when comparing to both Nokia and SE. They’re not as intuitive as the others. However, they’re not slow, and I’ve not run into any bug yet.
- The camera is mediocre, but this isn’t a cameraphone. If you need that, you should buy a Moto ZN5.
Overall, I think it’s a great purchase for someone who looks for a phone with a great call quality and an excellent music player.

I like most of the things about this phone- it has long battery life, and takes great pictures and videos (especially if you add the micro Memory stick card for more memory), and has good sound (for a phone). But a MAJOR flaw in this phone is the ridiculous two-pronged, multiple-(12?-)contact connector. This same connector type is used for the USB connection cable, the car charger, the headphones, and the wall charger. I guess this way they don’t need separate connectors for chargers vs. USB vs. headphones. Each connector activates different combinations of the 10 or 12 metal contacts on the phone (receiving) side of the connector. But the connectors are not very robust and in fact wear out in a matter of months so that to get a good connection to the phone’s metal contacts you have to squeeze the connector and hold it a certain angle without moving and practically stand on your head. I called SonyEricsson to inform and complain but they basically don’t care. They assume that the user has damaged the equipment, and if it’s out of warranty they take no responsibility. Too bad they take such little interest in customer support, because other than the connector design it’s a nice phone. But it’s not much use if you can’t even charge it up. I would be very hesitant to buy any SonyEricsson phone with this kind of connector. They should go back to standard plug-in connectors that will more easily and reliably make the appropriate contacts for the functiosn needed. In fact, a standard mini-plug contact for the headphones would be much handier instead of having to buy the special headphone accessory with the lame connector. Instead of one multi-function connector you’d need three- a power connector, a headset connector and a USB connector, but better 3 connectors that work easily than one that doesn’t.

I like this phone both as a phone and a music player. It holds a lot of songs, pics, videos, etc. The camera takes wonderful pictures. The only gripe I have is that it definitely lags. Sometimes, if my music is playing and I get a call, it takes awhile before it “answers” because of the lag. What’s cool, though, is that you don’t need an adapter for mp3 speakers. They plug right in.

I’ve had this phone for almost a year, it suffered many drops but it works great. When I first had this phone, I was surprised yet fascinated and captivated with its functions and futures.
The cons may be that the phone at times responds slow but is very loud, many options, and great picture quality.

I bought this cellphone almost a month ago, but I have just received it, ’cause I’m not from USA, I’m from Costa Rica. The thing is that I had some problems with the shipping due to the taxes, and I contacted MCO. They saved my life, the service is GREAT. If they hadn’t answered my letter so fast, I would have paid like 300 extra dollars from unfair taxes, so for that I thank them a lot. The cellphone is perfect, and it works great.

Chose this phone because it was Consumer Reports’ top pick for T-Mobile and it supposedly works overseas. It has a wide range of features and looks great. The only issue is that buttons sometimes get pressed when it is put away as there doesn’t seem to be a keyboard lock. I am extremely pleased with my selection and contrary to one of the other reviewers, I actually like the sound/touch when you press the keys — especially when sending text messages. I hope to take advantage of all the features eventually, but I love the wheel and arrow selection alternatives. I highly recommend this phone and would probably rate it 4.7/5.0 pt scale if given the option as I am not sure if there is a perfect phone.

I bought one of these from ATT, it wouldn’t take a charge or power up after a few weeks. I am on my 3rd replacement phone and battery and still it doesn’t work. By the way, it has been 4 months of this garbage and ATT won’t just give me my money back or even credit my account for the amount charged.
AVOID THIS PHONE AND AVOID ATT
