I am now on my third one of these (thank goodness for the insurance plan) I have also gone through a few of the original black ones as well.
The first pink one was my fault – popped out of my pocket and into the sink, the second was strange because the hinge just popped out, and snapped the plastic meaning it couldn’t be put back together and had to be replaced. The hinge managed to break while the phone was closed.
The first Pink one I had sounded fine while using the phone, however the ring was tinny and the uploaded MP3’s that I tried to use as ringtones came out too quiet to be heard. In the end that was fine because my phone is almost 100% of the time on vibrate in my pocket.
I live in a mountain filled area – ATT signal is better here than the competitors, that being said, powerlines still have an effect on the signal in this phone. My husband has a different phone on the same carrier and didn’t have the powerline issue.
The pictures – okay, it takes pictures… they are a pain to get off of the phone unless you have the media option which allows you to email them directly off of the phone. Also the pictures are very grainy once they are off the phone and on the computer.
Physically hooking the phone to a computer has been quite an issue, very hit or miss. I attempted to use this phone as a backup meeting reminder by downloading my outlook calendar to it… I ended up with duplicates on some things and others would not transfer at all.
My third phone, the one I am currently using, has very bad sound quality while I am on the phone… it also has a habit of not ringing and going straight to VM even though the phone is sitting right next to me on my desk and has 5 bars. Many times my phone will just suddenly buzz with a voice mail even though it has not rung.
Do I recommend this phone? Eh, every cell phone I have had has been glitchy, if you intend to use it as an organizer or to try to use for multimedia, go elsewhere. If you just want a pink phone that can snap a few grainy pictures, then this will work just fine, provided you don’t live under a powerline.
***Note – for some reason the star rating is not showing up, I would give this phone 3 stars if I could***
